nice price deal !!! the corestyle story continues... with forsaken is dead (known from his waking the tyrants device ep on corestyle last year, besides his various other productions for labels like meta4, industrial strength, six feet underground or hard kryptic) and cap (hard kryptic) we have two of the az hardcore junkies here. the a-side is represented by cap and starts with the title track this is not a war, a hard industrial uptempo pounder which is yet still atmospheric. the b-side offers 2 collaborations between cap and forsaken is dead. repeating patterns is rather techno-influenced whereas the second track, pulling strings (forsaken is dead remix) starts with a mystic intro and turns into a grooving and driving monster.

* beyond the clouds* was recorded from a live session near the heart of detroit using hand crafted modular synthesizers, analog devices and custom made effects units. remastered by ron murphy @ nsc mastering, detroit, usa shortly before he passed away, his memory will live in our hearts forever. in this live version of cv313s classic, the modular recordings were separated, dissected in the mix and dubbed out with a litany of analog effects. during this performance there was a mystical element in the air, strobe lights, vaporous gas and electric dreams. a connection felt with the dancers, a groove beyond a groove, it is that magical essence of japan. this was a night to remember, recorded live in tokyo with love. during the closing moments, the ghostly ambiance faded, the smoke cleared and beyond the sequence was born. remastered by bazza @ alchemy studio, london. uk

nice price deal !!! all out war is a new label from richard hardcastle aka solid state, based in sheffield, uk. richard is known for his product of society edits on society recs, and work on toko, guidance, primitive and cookhouse recs in the late 90s/early 00s. the first all out war release is prisoners of wax vol 1, new edits by solid state, mastered for vinyl by warp legend rob gordon here in sheffield. the disco elements that marked their first 3 society releases are back in full effect... a: america - a radical extension of a french track from 1978, complete with fierce bass and guitar riffs, scything strings and urgent vocals plus police sirens for added drama... all out disco war! aa1: shortwave radiation - tames a once sprawling, 9 minute plus synth strumental behemoth. this 6 1/2 minute version lowers the tempo and cuts the flabbier excesses of the original to produce a far leaner, fitter space monster. aa2: if u love me started life as a quaint little spanish number in 1977. this version ditches the verses, allowing the intro and chorus to take centre stage. the resulting track has a hypnotic, spacey atmosphere... a quiet storm!
